For some reason, coffee stains are fairly common. If you are one of the people who can’t help but spill, then you’re probably interested in the ways to repair or at least minimize the damage.
When the stain is on your clothes:
Soak your piece of clothing in warm water and then wash it at the highest possible temperature, according to the garment label. In case the stain is persistent, soak in a 1:2 water and vinegar solution instead of just water.
When the stain is on your carpet:
Use cold water and a sponge to remove the stain, dry with the help of a hair-drier or a cloth. For a stubborn stain, apply carpet shampoo.
When the stain is on your upholstery:
Use a sponge and cold water, then apply a small amount of detergent. Rinse and dry. If the stain is still there, use a stain remover.
In every case, always read the manufacturer instructions if there are any, before you do anything. Then proceed with a small test patch. If any doubt, consult a professional cleaner.
