How to treat hair dye stains

Those stains are extremely hard to remove so better take the necessary measures not to resolve to that. If you prefer to dye your hair at home, do it in the bathroom. Wear old clothes you wouldn’t miss if you stain them, put on a hairdresser mantle or if you don’t own one, an old towel around your shoulders. Cover the floor with old newspapers. Handle the hair dye with care.

When the stain is on your clothes:

Soak your piece of clothing in a cold water and washing soda solution then wash with a detergent. If your clothes are solid white, you may also try treating them with bleach.

When the stain is on your carpet:

Hire a professional cleaning company to remove the stain.

When the stain is on your upholstery:

In every case, always read the manufacturer instructions if there are any, before you do anything. Then proceed with a small test patch. If any doubt, consult a professional cleaner.
